Hello Friends!
I've been away for a while recovering from major surgery, but I'm happy to say I'm on the mend and looking forward to posting more class offerings very soon.   Last weekend I eased back into the groove by teaching a card making class at Glendale Community College and hope to teach additional classes through their Community Services Education Department next Spring.  For information on upcoming classes at the college, visit their website at www.glendale.edu/cse

One issue that frequently comes up in my classes has to do with measuring.  For some reason, all those little lines on the ruler become challenging as soon as the directions tell you to measure in eighths!    I hope you will find this guide useful.

The beauty of making things by hand is that they don't need to be perfect.    Relax and let yourself have fun.  Remember -- we aren't striving for the perfect scrapbook page, mini-book or paper craft project, but to enjoy the journey.
True enough, there are design principles that may be followed, but in truth there is no right or wrong "way" to work on your own project.   This is a hobby that can have meaning for people, resulting in a memorable finished product and personal satisfaction.  You don't have to possess great artistic skills for this hobby -- that's why we "scraplift"!
Taking the time to do something for yourself is one of the most important things you can do.  It's even therapeutic.    Enjoy it!

I have been passionate about scrapbooking more than 20 years. Finding a hobby that merged my love for paper crafting with teaching has been the catalyst for my creative outlet. When I'm not  writing, scrapbooking or teaching, my husband and I  enjoy wine tasting along California's Central Coast and spending time with our two Labrador Retrievers, Dusty and Radar.
